I think it's about time to reinstate this activity.

and I started this thing while we were attending FIDM together, but it only lasted for like...2-3 months I think that was because we were super-ambitious about it, so the rules were a lot harder (we designed AND produced).

It's going to be a bit more lax here, though XD

MONTHLY DESIGN CHALLENGE

Overview:
Each month a theme will be posted here. You have one month to produce SOMETHING that adheres to or interprets the theme. Anything. The point is to keep you constantly inspired and imaginative. And to make all of you who don't upload consitantly to start doing so LOL (don't worry, I'm guilty of this, too -__-; )

Acceptable Mediums:
Anything! That includes drawings, photography, fashion design, music, jewelry, etc.
+It is not necessary to PRODUCE conceptual art (i.e. clothing design, building/interior design blueprint, etc.), although it would be cool if you did ;D
+ORIGINAL DESIGNS (vs fanart) ARE PREFERRED but, again, not mandatory.
+Obviously, if you have a film or music submission, you might not be able to upload it to DA. That's fine, just upload it somewhere else (i.e. SendSpace, YouTube, w/e) :3
+I encourage you to produce SOMETHING, even if it's just a small scribble, by the deadline, just to keep your mind moving

THE THEME OF THE MONTH IS ANTIQUE.
Alternatively, you can create something inspired by a holiday in October.

Using the Theme:
It can be interpreted directly, or you can use colors associated with it, or...well, whatever. As long as you can BS an explanation that ties your submission to the theme, it's all good XD (Even if it's something ridiculous like, "I thought of marshmellows when I thought of the theme, so I took pictures of clouds 8D" XD)

The Deadline is November 14th.

+Post a comment somewhere on my page or send me a message with a link to your finished submission. The day after the deadline, I'll make a journal post featuring submissions and announcing the next theme. If you've been working on something and post it late, that's fine, just send me that link and I'll get your submission featured, too :3 (DON'T BE SHY, THIS IS ALL FOR FUN!!)
+When you make a submission, be sure to explain how it adheres to the theme (or the alternate challenge, inspiration from a holiday from the challenge month, as listed above).
+It's okay to have multiple submissions, if you are super-inspired and somehow have lots of time for that o__o
+Comment here with suggestions for the next theme. Also feel free to second/third/fourth/whatever someone else's suggestion, if you like it :3
